Asheville, NC
![]() It awaits you..... The exquisite mountain architecture and design. Elaborate hiking trails beckon you from nearby, catering to your lifestyle. The eyes of a child open wide, discovering brand new sights and sounds along the way. Memories here are made daily, from the simple things in life. Open your front door and smile. You've found it. This is Southcliff. This is nature at your doorstep. Location Welcome home to nature at your doorstep and peace of mind for you and your family. A manned, gated community, located in Asheville, North Carolina, and just a few minutes’ drive to downtown Asheville. Rising to elevations as high as 3,945 feet on the south face of Cedar Cliff Mountain, panoramic views of Mt. Mitchell, Little and Big Pisgah, Hickory Nut Gap and Bearwallow Mountain come into focus. The community will encompass over 400 acres of unspoiled forest for 10 neighborhoods, composed of 200 single-family homesites and 100 luxury townhomes. A system of hiking trails winds its way through green spaces, park areas and a canopy of forest. Set on Scenic Byway 74A, Southcliff overlooks the site of old Drovers Road. This historic trading route was used by farmers to drive their cattle and livestock to several markets, including those in Charleston, Columbia and Charlotte through Mine Hole Gap, continuing on to Hickory Nut Gap and beyond. The present day Southcliff was once known as Hope Dairy, a small dairy farm owned and operated by the Earwood family throughout the 1940s and 50s. In 1963, the land was sold to Harry Bloomberg, a local businessman who preserved the property in its natural state. Forty years later, Bloomberg’s daughters sold the property in 2005, whereupon its current owners' vision of a private, gated-community, inspired by nature, began to take shape. You can almost hear the wind kissing the leaves of the tall oaks, blushing red. The aroma of rhododendron fills the cool, early morning air. The rustle of leaves under your feet, mountain water splashing against rocks and breathtaking mountain views all tell you that you’ve found someplace special. Lifestyle & Activities:
