Today people equipped with
computers, faxes, cell phones and services like UPS and
Fed Ex can make the choice to live in rural havens in
comfort. Creston Luxury Real Estate with its beautiful mountain setting and
long range views, offers a quiet sense of being. Yet
nearby, the towns are abuzz with energy and vitality. A
major consideration in mountaintop living is easy access
on and off the mountain. At Creston, all luxury home sites are
only a few minutes from the entrance.
Creston represents a return to the fundamentals of
responsible mountain land ownership. It's a neighborly
but private place, allowing you to feel the vastness of
the surrounding wilderness yet knowing that the warmth
of community and a friendly face can be met on a walk on
one of its many foot trails, community greens and
overlooks found naturally and tastefully placed
throughout the Creston Reserve. The idea behind Creston
is to allow the qualities of a Forested Reserve
predominate --- where of the 1100 acres comprising the
estate, 50% has been set aside as the Creston Reserve to
remain undeveloped for perpetuity for all Creston
residents to enjoy --- but invite the sense of
neighborhood, security and friendliness within a secured
community. In this, Creston has excelled!
Looking out from Creston at
the soft, gentle mountains of the Blue Ridge evokes a
sense of calm and connection. Whether you are gazing out
the window with coffee in hand watching the sun come up
over the Hickory Nut Mountains or sharing a glass of
wine on your porch watching the sun slip behind the
mountains over toward Rocky Knob, you will know that you
have selected just the right spot, uniquely yours.
Throughout Creston there are
dramatic mountain vistas---and not just from the home
sites. Experience the wonder of nature from the
overlooks and roadways all around the mountain. Looking
north to the Black Mountain Range, with Mt. Mitchell and
the Blue Ridge Parkway, is a special view to behold. The
view to the east is of the rural community of Crooked
Creek Valley, consisting of small farms and fields. Such
scenery will take you back to an earlier, simpler time.

HOMESITES:
Our North Carolina mountains are very special and they
challenge us to build beautifully and responsibly within
them. Accepting that responsibility, Creston is governed
by thoughtful and thorough protective covenants and
design guidelines. These home design guidelines are of
the same caliber found in the Creston developers' other
properties, creating a unified yet individually
expressive community, as well as offering protection for
your investment.
Design Guidelines have been created to maintain a sense of
visual harmony between all homes, whether large or
small, and the natural environment. They define the
Creston style and ensure architectural integrity while
allowing a range of personal expression and homes sizes
from cottages to sizable retreats. Cottage does not
necessarily reflect size, but a certain mountain style
and quality. Integrated into the neighborhoods of North
Carolina mountain towns are "cottages" of the Craftsman,
Bungalow, Post and Beam, and New England Shingle style.
Log homes certainly are a part of this mountain heritage
and enrich the diversity.
The Creston Design Guidelines encourage cottage and cabin
“styles” while requiring high quality design and
materials, ensuring style and quality that will endure
long after the first generation of homeowners come and
go.
Our cabin and cottage neighborhood, regardless of the
style of ownership you desire, be it a carefree weekend
getaway or a full-time mountain home, our Cottage
Neighborhoods or Traditional Sites offer choices
respectful of individual dreams. If your dream is of a
family compound on private mountain acreage, Creston
Homestead Sites offer the most flexibility and are
ideally suited for the privacy lover and serious
investor.
